The craze for cartoons started when I was in 2nd standard. I had been to Kinnigoli a small village in Mangalore. My uncle Robert Lobo had bought a VCR of Tom and Jerry(I still remember those clips of Tom chasing Jerry and Jerry finally winning in all the cases).Me my brother Austin and cousin Pratap used to plead Prashanth(Pratap's Elder brother) to put that VCR. Prashanth used to put us that VCR but at the cost of some small work. Those were some of my best days of my life.

Now after 17 years neither Austin nor Pratap watch any Cartoon Network Channels nor do allow me to watch.
Even my roommates (Ravi, Ranjith, Rahul) all working in Infosys shout at me when I pause the remote on channel number 2(Toon Disney) or 11(Cartoon Network).

Everyone keeps asking me "Even at this age why do you love cartoons" and tell them
“ There is a small child in everyone keep him alive till u die”
Tom and Jerry still remains my all time favorite.

Now-a-days we have access to 3 cartoon channels running for 24/7, but imagine the time when we had to wait for a whole week to watch a half-an-hour program on Doordarshan, the power would go just after the first TV commercial and we then used to curse the electricity borad for the next whole week.
